Taking a Chance edition by Jane Myers Perrine Romance eBooks

George Herbert Preston is not a man who lives for danger, not a man to run off to Vegas with a gorgeous blonde. And yet he does exactly that and the adventure he never sought—filled with gun fights and punches and even kisses—unwinds with spectacular speed and peril before him.
The quirky Abby Beasley never considered kidnapping her accountant, and yet she did in a desperate effort to save her Uncle Wally.
Within hours, the two complete opposites find themselves taking a chance on love while facing the biggest risks of their lives. Is it worth it?
Taking a Chance edition by Jane Myers Perrine Romance eBooks
Lovable characters, action, adventure, and witty dialog make “Taking a Chance” a fun and enjoyable read. I liked all the twists and turns in this mystery, but I LOVED the quirky characters who made me laugh out loud several times. The chemistry between Abby and Hubert, two complete opposites, was delightful. Abby hilariously takes Hubert, a straight-laced accountant, out of his comfort zone over and over. Hubert is adorable, and Abby has a personality bigger than life that immediately drew me into the quest to save her Uncle Wally. Why does Uncle Wally need saving? Taking a Chance edition by Jane Myers Perrine Romance eBooks Reviews
Jane Myers Perrine always writes with humor and develops interesting characters and situations. Taking A Chance is no exception. The story is a fun, imaginative romp. If you like a mystery with a couple of romances thrown in, you'll love this story. I really enjoyed this book!
TAKING A CHANCE is a lot of fun and beautifully written. I took the first chapter to my writing critique group as an example of how to engage readers. Her flow is effortless, her humor is spot on, and I adore George Hubert!
Funny and querky. A side of Jane Perrine is revealed that I had only guessed at from her Butternut creek books. The twists and turns in the relationships of two couples keep you guessing to the end, and are not quite true to life, but who cares!
What a delightful book! Opposites can attract, and nobody could be more different than the main characters in this rollicking romantic suspense set in Vegas. I really enjoyed getting a two-for-one when Abby's friend found her own fella. There's non-stop action, and lots of bad guys are thrown into mix. I loved this story and found myself both grinning and groaning as I read.
Another winner by Ms. Perrine, one of my most fave authors. The plot is as twisting as the tunnels of an ant hill and her characters as intriguing as a Vegas roulette wheel. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only caveat is I wish her publisher had done a better job with the line edits. Their efforts were disappointing, but don't let that stop you. You won't regret buying this story.
I enjoyed reading about these quirky characters who seemingly have nothing in common. Hubie and Abby were very sweet together as they go through their adventure. A lot happens in this book! I enjoyed the Las Vegas setting, as well as the secondary characters, Coral and Adam. The dialogue was very clever and funny--I love reading a book that makes me laugh.
George Hubert, not Herbert, Hubie for short, is exactly the kind of hero I love. He's flawed but lovable and a sucker for Abby Beasley, the pretty, off-beat blond who enters his office for auditing help and ends up changing his life. The characters are all unique and the story gave me 2 romances and plenty of mystery and suspense, too. I loved it. I'm not going to tell you the plot in detail because I hate reading reviews like that!
